JICHS
offers a varied IB curriculum with options for students who focus on the humanities,
math and science or both. The beauty of
the IB Diploma’s curriculum is that, regardless of curricular focus, students
are exposed to a rigorous, internationally recognized curriculum in all
disciplines. Students earning an IB
Diploma demonstrate critical thinking skills in all academic areas and
statistically perform better in college than students taking other advanced
programs in high school.
Students
enrolled in the program are required to complete an extended essay (EE), a theory
of knowledge course (TOK), and creativity, action, and service hours
(CAS). These three essential parts of
the IB Diploma contribute to the lifelong learner that emerges when students
participate in the IB Program and add to colleges considering the IB Diploma
the most rigorous high school program available.
Our strong tradition of academic excellence prepares students for college and beyond. Please visit our resources section to see what some of our former students have to say about our program, locate the application, and find program information.
Thank you for your interest in our program. Please contact me with any questions.
