Hello Trojan Families - 

We are so excited to welcome our students back on Tuesday, August 12th at 8:30 AM! Below is some important information to help the first few days go smoothly. Please take a moment to review and reach out to the school with any questions.

 Bell Schedules for the First Week

• Tuesday & Wednesday: Bell Schedule 4
• Thursday: Bell Schedule 4A
• Friday: Bell Schedule 1

**It’s very important that every student attends Homeroom during the first three days for state reporting purposes. Even if you have a late arrival, please report to Homeroom first.**

 School Traffic Pattern Please review the attached map for drop-off and pick-up routes. Be patient during the first few days—traffic is always heavier as many families choose to drop off and pick up. It will improve by the end of the week.

 Student Handbook & Code of Conduct
The Student Handbook outlines our daily procedures, policies, and resources. The Code of Conduct sets behavior expectations and consequences to maintain a safe, respectful learning environment. Together, they explain how our school operates and how we treat one another.  Administration is currently adding the finishing touches to both documents, and they will be emailed to you next week.

 Yondr Reminder
JICHS is still a Yondr school! Bring your Yondr pouch on the first day. All personal electronics (including headphones) must be stored away for the entire day.

 Free Breakfast & Lunch
JICHS is a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school again this year, and every student will receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each day. Additional meals are available for purchase.

Need a Schedule Change?
The Drop/Add Request Form is now open and will remain available through the first week of school:

Please review the following before submitting a request:

• Submitting a request does not guarantee a schedule change.
• Students must drop a class in order to add a new one.
• Requests to rearrange class periods or based on teacher/class time preferences will not be accommodated.
• Approved changes may result in a completely new schedule.
• After the first week, only limited changes (e.g., level changes or yearlong course adjustments) may be made through your counselor.
• Dual Enrollment students must follow a separate drop/add process—please contact your counselor for assistance.

Parking

 Please remember to display your parking decal. If you have completed your purchase, but have not yet picked up your decal, please stop by Office 120 on Tuesday to get it.
