I am a teacher with 16 years of teaching experience. I received my bachelor's degree in general science from Alvernia University and a master's degree in education from George Washington University in Washington, DC. I began my teaching career after serving 10 years with the federal government as a computer specialist.
As a parent to children with special needs, I have always believed that it is important for children to learn at their own pace and in their own time; however, it is even more important to foster a love of learning, a love of the natural world, and to foster their curiosity. I am the teacher who says, "Never say never", as I have seen children conquer insurmountable odds to become productive members of society.
At JICHS, I serve as a case manager, study skills teacher, self-contained biology teacher, and co-teacher for English 1. I look forward to learning about your children and in helping them realize their full potential.
